I figure since we're all writers, we must read...no?
At the moment I'm reading the first book in the series of four called 'The Troy Game'. It's written by Sara Douglass who's an Aussie writer, so I dunno if you guys have even heard of her. The books are about ... its a little complicated to explain. It's a little dark, starting from the ancient Greek times (it talks alot about Troy, duh, and Mesopatama), it also talks about an ancient English/Celtic (??) civilization.
Its about revenge and dark magic and myths and gods, and how a group of people are always fighting and battling, and these people are reincarnated and their war is fought through different generations.
I heard about it from my sister, and I'm still on the first book so I'm still yet to grasp the entire plot of the story. But I think its really good. Like I said, a little dark, so if you're younger than like...fourteen or fifteen, you might not find it suitable. Have you heard of it? What're you guys reading atm?

Stephen King: Cell (for like the tenth time. I nearly have it memorized)
William Strunk and E.B White : Elements of Style (Hailed as the most comprehensive writing aid. I recommend it highly.)

I'm now reading Summer Psychic by Jessica Adams. I previously finished reading her another novel called I'm a Believer about a man who found himself communicating with his dead girlfriend (trust me it's not that scary ) Anyway, Vara's novel sounds interesting and I'm also quite curious with Twilight Series. Everyone seems to be talking about it and I think it's interesting lol

Yeah, Caro keeps mentioning it, lol. I might go borrow the first one from the library once I've finished The Troy Game series. See what all the talk is about. They're making a movie of Twilight too, apparently. With Cedric Diggory from HP

Yes, I've heard about the film thingy too. I'm not sure if they're going to make it a film or series just like the book. And yeah, Robert Pattinson is going to play Edward Cullen there. Hm...I'm curious, even though the status is still pre-production, but I think this is going to be huge

I dunno. We haven't heard about it in Australia. I've only heard about it cuz of Caro. Twilight hasn't been very popular here, well not yet anyway I don't think. *shrugs*

I'm in Australia. I borrowed New Moon from the library a few months ago and now I'm obsessed. I absolutely love it! Kirsten Stewart is playing Bella, the main role. I even made an RPG based on it (And a few other things too). I can't believe that it isn't that popular here. You hardly ever hear about it, but when I went to the bookshop last night it was all sold out. Apparently the publisher ran out of stock for New Moon. I was very upset... lol. But apparently she signed a contract to make another one. I can't wait! I'm so excited!

New Moon? Is it another supernatural book? Sounds so for me. I think supernatural books are getting popular recently

3 so far. She's agreed to write a fourth and she is in the middle of writing a complementary novel for the first.

Oh yea I read about that somewhere. It's supposed to be from Edward's point of the view or something like that, right?

Hmm...interesting, I'm thinking that it will be as popular as Harry Potter, wait until everyone in the world knows about it
