Note: This is my second fable after My Forest, My Habitat, My Life. Fable is maybe not of my most favorite story genre to write, but I wrote this for story telling contest. You know, fable is probably the easiest story to tell in a contest so...
Anyway, I made this just in an hour lol Comments are welcomed.

Once upon a time, there was an old, rich widow who lived in a mansion in London. She lived alone that she didn’t have any children, but she kept a cat as a pet, which she always loved and spoiled him as if he was her own child. The cat lived in wealth, but he was a kind, honest, and patient cat.
The cat befriended with a mouse which lived inside a hole in the mansion. Unlike the cat, the mouse was greedy and easy to be jealous. Yes, he was jealous to see the cat’s wealth life, especially, the cat’s delicious and high quality food.
The cat knew about the mouse’s condition. He knew that his friend needed to struggle to find food from garbage cans, meanwhile the cat had everything he wanted. Everyday, the cat shared a small piece of his meat to the mouse.
“This is your piece, eat up.” said the cat as he handed a piece of his meat to the mouse.
“Thank you, cat, you really are a good friend.” he answered.
Later on, the mouse became greedier and he wanted bigger and bigger piece of food. For him, the piece that the cat gave him was too small for him to eat. The mouse always asked for bigger and bigger pieces of food. And worse, all the reasons he said were all lies. He always had that food on his own.
“Today, I’m going to have a party with my friends so can you give me bigger pieces of your meat?” one day the mouse said.
“Of course, buddy.” the cat gave bigger piece of his meat than before
Then the cat’s food began to less and less as his little friend kept asking and asking for bigger pieces. The cat could only eat just a little piece for himself, as he already gave the rest to the mouse, until the cat got hungrier. But he didn’t care about it. He liked sharing food with his friend.
“What a stupid cat.” the mouse thought and laughed in his mind.
One day, the old widow found the existence of the mouse in her mansion. Then, she ordered her cat to get rid of him. The cat had no choice except obeying her.
“I know this is hard for you but, remember, our friendship will never end.” said the cat as the mouse sadly started to leave the place.
When the winter came, he suffered in hunger. Now he would live just as a usual wild mouse, wandering around the town, searching for food from garbage can to another garbage can. Later on, he found a small cheese in a garbage can.
“Ooh, finally!” he said.
Before he ate the cheese, a group of wild mice with fierce looks saw the mouse was holding a cheese.
“Come on boys.” the leader of the group said to his fellows to start their act.
“Hey pal, can I have some?” the leader of mice came over to the poor mouse and asked.
“But, I’ve just found it…” the poor mouse started to say but he couldn’t get to continue as those mice looked at him sharply.
“OK, OK, but just a bit.” the mouse finally said and suddenly.
“Gotcha, you foolish mouse!” the group of mice took all of the cheese and ran off.
Then the mouse sat down and regretted about his behavior on the cat. It wasn’t until, he saw a familiar figure. It was eventually his own friend, the cat, who was wandering around.
“Hey, what are you doing here?” asked the mouse.
“Looking for you of course.” said the cat. “Since you’ve been gone, I was alone. I don’t even have a friend to share food and I started to feel that the food that my master gave to me was just too much for me to eat. So I thought you want to return.”
“But doesn’t your master hate mice?”
“Yes, but guess what, I’ve just found a nice spot for you to live inside the mansion. So, my master can’t see you. And if she does, I’ll protect you, because you’re my best buddy.”
Hearing that, the mouse was very pleased. He realized about all his mistakes he had done on the cat. He apologized to his feline friend. Then the mouse and the cat lived together peacefully and happily every after.
Moral: Greed will always cause bad things for you
