When you pick up your quill, dip it into the ink bottle, and prepare your parchment to write something on it, do you feel something different? Do you feel like there are thousands of unspoken words you want to release from your mind? Do you hear the sound of lovely words coming from poems, or the story plots that moan in your mind?

If you do feel those things, then you know where you should go. A Writer's Quill is a forum community for writers to post or publish their works here. Not only writers but readers are also needed. Readers can review writings, make opinions, or rate stories. A Writer's Quill is opened for any writers. From Novelist, Authors, Poet, Script Writer, to Fanficcer (Fanfiction Writer).

So, are you one of them? Do you feel the inspirations moan in your mind? Then what are you waiting for? Your inspirations are waiting to be released and a Writer's Quill is the right place for it.

Attention Please!
You need to be at least 13 years old to join this community. If you're a writer and want to post writings here, you have to register as a member first and be sure to read this first. And since this is a writing forum, this site keeps lots of people's works. So members and guests, please DO NOT steal the writers' works!. Those works belong to the writers and they have spent their time making them.
Forum Updates

As you all can see, I've deleted the application desk board. So now, all new members and writers don't need to fill the form out in order to write here. It means you can free submit your stories here.

Anyway, we're currently in need of staffs. So if you'd like to apply to be part of us, PM the admin (it's me) and convince me why you should be part of AWQ staff.

Essential steps in making a novel

Again, I myself haven't finished my novel yet. I've learned this from my fellow writer friends and some famous young writers from their experiences.

1. It’s better if you write the plot first on a sheet of paper or the script on a notebook.

2. After that, you can start to write it on to computer by typing it. The normal font that acceptable is: Times New Roman with font size: 12. The line spacing that you should add is: 1,5.
To make your novel thick, you can write the script (which has been typed in the computer) until 100 - 200 pages! More than it is also a good idea! Wow!!!!

3. If you’re done typing the script, before you do the printing, you need to edit or re-edit the script, who knows you want to change the story or whatever.

4. After editing, you can print it out! Remember, you have to make sure that after you print it out, you’re ready to publish it! Because after you print it out and you still have more mistakes in it, it’s going to waste papers!

6. Your novel is ready to be published now! Or maybe, you can apply that for a writing competition or what. Let the publisher know your book and then PUBLISH IT!!!!

Have other thoughts? Share them here

Just wanted to point out, most publishers actually prefer the 'courier new' font. I don't know why, but I have come to like it personally myself as well.

Planning. You may be a writer that does this to the extremes or not at all. But a storyline should be written out. You should have at least a list of characters so you don't forget anyone later in the novel.

Write EVERYTHING down. NEVER rely on memory. it fades all too quickly.

Explore your publishing options. Make sure you don't have to pay ANYTHING. you GET money, not pay it!

Courier New? But yeah, maybe. Not all publishers in the world accept Times New Roman. Storyline? You mean like the plot? Yup, I certainly agree. Making a story without a plot can mess it up. I experience that almost all the time though ;)

Good tips faithdamore ;)
