When you pick up your quill, dip it into the ink bottle, and prepare your parchment to write something on it, do you feel something different? Do you feel like there are thousands of unspoken words you want to release from your mind? Do you hear the sound of lovely words coming from poems, or the story plots that moan in your mind?

If you do feel those things, then you know where you should go. A Writer's Quill is a forum community for writers to post or publish their works here. Not only writers but readers are also needed. Readers can review writings, make opinions, or rate stories. A Writer's Quill is opened for any writers. From Novelist, Authors, Poet, Script Writer, to Fanficcer (Fanfiction Writer).

So, are you one of them? Do you feel the inspirations moan in your mind? Then what are you waiting for? Your inspirations are waiting to be released and a Writer's Quill is the right place for it.

Attention Please!
You need to be at least 13 years old to join this community. If you're a writer and want to post writings here, you have to register as a member first and be sure to read this first. And since this is a writing forum, this site keeps lots of people's works. So members and guests, please DO NOT steal the writers' works!. Those works belong to the writers and they have spent their time making them.
Forum Updates

As you all can see, I've deleted the application desk board. So now, all new members and writers don't need to fill the form out in order to write here. It means you can free submit your stories here.

Anyway, we're currently in need of staffs. So if you'd like to apply to be part of us, PM the admin (it's me) and convince me why you should be part of AWQ staff.

 What are you writing weaknesses?

We're not all perfect authors. Even an author like JK Rowling does have weaknesses. So here, let's share them. What are your writing weaknesses?

My turn first, my writing weaknesses are:

1. Writer's Block! Yup, that's true
2. Sometimes I write stories without considering plots. That certainly would mess up the whole story :D
3. Finishing a novel. Somehow it's not because I'm no longer interested to finish it. It's just I don't have any ideas what more to write about (that's because I write without writing the plot first ;))

I actually have more weaknesses. But I guess I should just wrote 3 first ;)

I have many, but I will only list a few.

1) My friends are my life, and they draw me a lot from my writings.
2) Writers' Block and Writers' Cramp. (I usually write my stories out first)
3) Plots. Sometimes I can never think of one.

Yup, I think writer's block is indeed part of an author's life *sigh*. Some of my close friends do write. I think they're the ones who inspire me to become an author.

Hehe, weaknesses. That's me all over.

1. Writer's Block. You guys know all about it.

2. Perhaps because I'm a Gemini, or what have you, but I lost interest in things very easily. I start writing something with full blown enthusiasm...then I get a new idea and toss out the last one. My 'my documents' folder on this computer is full of unfinished stories. I have a desk drawer full of notebooks and pads full of plot points, character profiles and chapters.

3. Everyone else is going for three.... I can't seem to write a story unless it has something based in the fantasy or supernatural genre. I find that it really helps push the plot line, even if your character interactions begin to block you out.

My suggestions:

1. Try not to write a new story while you still haven't finished one. Try to focus on one story you're writing. In this case, you're going to need a plot. Yes, that will help you finish your story shortly :)

2. OK, this is for number 3. I know you're pretty good in supernatural or fantasy. But as an author, you need to remember that readers will soon get bored in that genre. They want something different from your works. So try to learn how to make non-supernatural theme. Then you can write at least non-supernatural story. I know this is hard for you to try, since you're into supernatural stuffs. You can try by start reading non-supernatural stories so you'll get the idea of what to write.

1) Yeah yeah... we've heard it all before... writers block
2) Sticking with things. I tend to find that my stories bore me. I will get part way through one, say... 55 pages, then I just lose interest. It's very frustrating.
3) I get side tracked. I do a lot of writing things, writing is my life, but one of my favorite past times is role playing. I get lost in the stories I find. I just keep role playing and don't write. I frustrates me like nothing else!
